On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, a Sustainable Oil Palm Cultivation Productivity Training was held. 

With the trainer Mr. Tony Liwang as Head of Plant Production and Biotechnology Division of PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources and Technology Tbk., providing training to the Fertilizer and Pesticides Team of PT Rolimex Kimia Nusamas. 

Mr. Tony Liwang gave an initial description of what was behind the establishment of the institution where he served in 2007 and said that crop productivity is the only variable that can be controlled by the industry. Research and development is the way. 

SMART Biotechnology Center is a research facility in Sentul, Bogor run by SMART's Plant Production and Biotechnology Division. The facility acts as a hub for innovation, through various tissue culture improvements being introduced to improve the quality of the seed stock resulting in higher productivity per hectare.
